Financial Planning Lead on the development of the ICS Strategic financial plans and work with senior finance colleagues across the health and care system to develop annual operational financial plans within the context of this. Financial Management and Assurance Ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information to the ICB Board and directors/managers, including the executive team to support the delivery of all statutory financial obligations, duties and targets, ensuring best resource utilisation and aiding decision making. Prepare relevant finance department reports to the ICBs Board and Committees. Manage the ICBs finances in a professional manner, utilising prime financial policies and scheme of delegation, having due regard for probity, corporate governance and controls assurance, including appropriate accounting standards and legislation. Management Accounting Analyse and review the existing utilisation of resources to determine opportunities for more effective deployment using benchmarking and the comparative analysis, best value, reference costs and any other relevant sources. Assist on budgetary control systems. Support and advise senior managers and the finance team to report and formulate action plans to resolve variances from budgets.
