Main Purpose
To provide a comprehensive, proactive and high-quality administration function to support the day-to-day running of the Payments Team. Primarily, this role will be administration-based with some outgoing calls to our clients and customers, although you may be asked to provide support answering incoming calls as demand dictates.
This is a part-time hybrid role, working from the Chelmsford office and home for a fixed term role of 6 months at 18.5 hours per week. There may be an opportunity to continue the role beyond this.
Responsibilities of Job
* To provide administrative and customer service support in relation to the payroll and purchase ledger service functions, including data entry and the storing of timesheets/invoices.
* Input and maintain client records on our CRM system, payroll software, and Sage.
* Monitor inboxes across required contracts on a daily basis, opening, sorting, and responding or distributing to the appropriate members of staff for action.
* Liaise with ICBs and local authorities to update client record information as required.
* Accurately record information to support the production of management reports.
* Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming and outgoing post, including distribution and scanning as required.
* Respond to initial enquiries regarding the payments service, providing the required information and answers, and escalating where required.
* Provide a full set of administrative duties to support the Payments service function as directed, including the sending of remittances and quality checking of team data input.

Person Specification
Essential
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Ability to commute to the Chelmsford office.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences in a variety of different ways.
* Excellent administrative skills, with the ability to track and record data accurately and effectively.
* Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as part of a team.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong IT knowledge, including the use of Microsoft and CRM software.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
* Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
Desirable
* Experience of working within a busy administrative, customer-focused function.
* Experience of providing customer service over the phone.
* Experience of supporting customers with disabilities.
