Position Summary:
Under direction from the Association Facilities Director, will prepare and maintain athletic fields for league games during the week as well as weekend games or tournaments. Will oversee and manage the duties and scheduling of Outdoor Maintenance staff. Will oversee the supervision of splash pad staff as well as Snack Shack staff.
Essential Functions:
* Perform infield maintenance and repair work of baseball/softball fields including watering infields, placing bases, pitching mounds, batter’s boxes, and transition areas of infield and outfield.
* Transport and set up equipment for games and practices. Responsible for ensuring fields are maintained, groomed, and ready daily for practices, games, and weekend tournaments. Includes dragging infields, chalking, striping fields, and setting bases.
* Mow, edge, trim, and rake fields: operate riding mowers, push mowers, light-duty vehicles, blowers, trimmers, edgers, and weed eaters.
* Rake, sweep, blow, and pick up clippings, paper, and trash from athletic fields and surrounding areas. This includes using a sprayer for weeds and operating a weed eater.
* Field maintenance will include filling holes in the infield, adding mix if needed to the infield, and inspecting ball fields for proper safety.
* Report weekly to the Association Field Director and/or Associate Executive Director for assignments.
* Ensure outside trash is emptied regularly and outside bathrooms are maintained as needed.
* Ensure all rules and regulations are being followed and enforced by any renter or spectator at the Stoico/FIRSTFED premises.
* Respond to emergencies as needed.
* All other duties assigned.

* Prior building maintenance experience helpful.

* Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions during all seasons.
* Physical demands include, but are not limited to, lifting, standing, climbing, pulling, pushing, and moving equipment.
