Are you a qualified Nurse working with adults? Are you passionate about working in a community role? Do you believe in providing the best care to every person in Leeds? We welcome your application to join our community care bed (CCB) team across Leeds. Home first is the ideal outcome for many patients leaving hospital, but a temporary stay in a setting that is a homely environment that can provide 24-hour care is sometimes required. The Community care beds do this, enabling early discharge from hospital and reducing hospital admissions and the CCB service delivers complex care whilst empowering patients as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. When you join us, we will work with you to develop your own personal developmental plan that supports your learning style. We provide training, clinical supervision and access to a peer support network. We won't just stop there though, we are proud of our career progression pathways that will allow you to develop your clinical, leadership and preceptorship skills. Community care beds service work on a shift pattern and cover 24 hours, 7 days a week. We have a variety of shift patterns and understand that people have busy lives, and we offer flexible work opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Community nursing in the care beds suits people who can work independently and within the wider multi-disciplinary team. You'll be resilient, motivated, and adaptable to working in an ever-changing environment and of course, a passion for providing the best possible care. You will have great communication skills and maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures. You will ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
