We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Therapist to join our thriving dental practice Pure Dental Care in Immingham, for a 12-month fixed term contract maternity cover. As an integral member of our orthodontic team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality orthodontic care to our patients.
Day to day responsibilities:
* Assist orthodontists in the delivery of orthodontic treatments and procedures
* Perform routine orthodontic adjustments and provide patient care under the supervision of an orthodontist
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care of orthodontic appliances
* Take dental impressions and photographs for orthodontic records
* Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures and ensure their comfort throughout treatment
* Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans using digital systems
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and appointment scheduling
* Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean, safe working environment
* Participate in continuing professional development to stay current with orthodontic techniques and best practices
* Contribute to a positive and supportive team atmosphere
You will need:
* GDC registration as an Orthodontic Therapist
* Proven experience as an Orthodontic Therapist in a clinical setting
* Proficiency in orthodontic procedures and treatments
* Strong digital skills, including familiarity with orthodontic software systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision
* Empathetic and patient-centred attitude
* Exceptional time management and organisational abilities
* Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in orthodontics
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a dental setting
