An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Senior / Site Engineer to join our collaborative, professional Project Delivery Team.
The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise, help manage resources and oversee technical aspects of site operations while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret and understand drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project delivery
* Provide engineering expertise and support to the Project Team
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
* Ensure that construction documents contain accurate information and formally request missing details in a timely manner
* Monitor progress and contribute to weekly Team /sub-contractor meetings
* Keep detailed daily site diaries, recording changes, variations, and subcontractor activities
* Ensure that material testing and sampling comply with project specifications
* Ensure proper checking of setting out work and contribution to the Project Quality Plan
* Monitor work quality, identifying and addressing any issues promptly
* Help review Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the safe execution of works
* Supporting the management team with organising and supervising sub-contractor work packages
* Support the Russell WBHO Building Student Plan (site engineering rotations) – regarding setting out methods and techniques
Key attributes will also include:
* Solid track record of the main contracting market with experience of working on Residential/Hotels/Industrial schemes between £5 and £50 million
* Effective communication skills – with the ability and willingness to face challenges and solve problems
* As an experienced Senior/Site Engineer, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques and a HNC/HND (ideally Degree qualified) in construction, valid CSCS Card. Preferably CITB 5 day and Temporary works training & First Aid
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software
* Highly organised and methodical
* Interpersonal skills – ability to effectively liaise with Internal and External Project Teams
* Ability to manage time efficiently and work both independently and as part of a team
