Company:
Major projects division of a £100m group of companies who specialise in mechanical and electrical building services engineering from initial concept and design to installation and ongoing facilities management / maintenance.
The Role:
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to be site based on a new build £16m (M&E value) project in Norfolk.
The role can be permanent or on a fixed term contract basis depending on your location.
The project starts late September 2024 and is scheduled to run for 2 years.
Reporting into the Project Director and working alongside the Group H&S manager, you will manage all aspects of H&S, with a pro-active rather than reactive mindset, together with a collaborative hands-on approach.
Day to day duties will include:
1. Setting up site cabins.
2. Create bespoke systems of work, whilst liaising with the Group H&S manager.
3. Prepare monthly reports.
4. Checking of risk assessments.
5. Ensure all processes and policies are up to date and fit for purpose.
6. Work with individual stakeholders to drive improvements and ensure all divisions work to the same standards.
7. Analysis of trends to identify and prevent risks.
8. Carry out toolbox talks.
9. Prepare for audits to be carried out by the Group H&S manager.
The Person:
You will have extensive experience of Health & Safety within construction or M&E contracting and be NEBOSH qualified.
You will be expected to be site based for the duration of the project.
Salary:
* Salary is negotiable but c£50k to £70k depending on experience.
* 28 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays.
* Company pension 5%/5.
