About this Role
We are looking to recruit staff to join our team of casual Exam Invigilators, supervising students during examinations under the guidance of the Lead Invigilator and supporting the Exams Officer with the day-to-day operation of examinations. Please see the enclosed for further details of the duties and responsibilities within the role.
The main summer exams season runs from May to June, with PPE’s (mock exams) taking place in November, February, March and May. Ad hoc formal exams also take place throughout the academic year. Exams take place across both mornings and afternoons, within the school day. The length of exams can vary, but the time you will be required to be on duty will typically allow for a short briefing before the start of the exam. Any times outside of the agreed Invigilation hours will be unpaid, e.g. lunchtime, times between exams etc. Invigilators can agree the dates and times that they are available to work with the Exams Team before the start of each exam period.
Grade 4 - £12.49 per hour (plus holiday pay), casual / term-time only
Hours are claimed on a timesheet at the end of the month worked, and these are paid monthly in arrears into your bank account.
Previous experience of working as an Exam Invigilator and/or working within education or administration is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided. If you are looking for the opportunity to work in an established school and would like a fulfilling and rewarding job, working within a great team, then we would love to hear from you.
