Based at Back Sneddon Centre and New Sneddon Street offices.
Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (ADRS) has developed an exciting and unique development and career opportunity. We are looking for experienced individuals to be part of the new Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Rapid Response Team. This new Team will be responsible for ensuring rapid, responsive support, with no barriers to access treatment, consistently across Renfrewshire.
Within the multi-disciplinary team, we are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Alcohol and Drug Recovery Worker. Working with complex individuals, the ideal candidate for this post should have the relevant skills, knowledge, and capacity to deliver interventions which are aligned to the MAT Standards.
In particular, the post-holder will be responsible for the assessment, formulation, implementation, and evaluation of complex programmes of care using a strength-based recovery-focused approach that proactively involves the person and optimises self-management. The post holder is also required to provide therapeutic support and deliver interventions to individuals and families, including but not exclusively, harm reduction, relapse prevention, psycho-social interventions, risk management, and recovery advice, guidance, and support.
The post holder should have a strong vision and be skilled in delivering a recovery and outcome-focused service. The post requires candidates to have experience working within this field and be innovative and creative within their role.
It is essential that you have the commitment and ability to achieve or have SVQ level 3 in Social Care/Community Care or equivalent, previous experience working with individuals affected by alcohol and drugs, and knowledge of a recovery-oriented system of care.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with service users, their families, and other key stakeholders is essential. The ability to use your own initiative and also work as part of a team is required. Registration with SSSC or achieving registration within 6 months of taking up employment is also essential.
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 18 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is earlier. Potential candidates are invited to discuss this employment opportunity by contacting Cheryl Mullin, Team Lead, Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service.
