Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at an independent therapeutic residential community and day school in Nottinghamshire.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and dyslexia/dyspraxia. You will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver an engaging and inclusive curriculum, promoting the emotional, social, and academic development of the children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the teacher in providing individualized support to students with SEN
* Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic approach to student care
* Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 months experience working in an education setting with students with SEN
* Ability to tailor support to meet the needs of each individual child
* Kind, caring, and patient approach when dealing with children who require specialist support
* Ability to commute to Newark
