We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Support Worker to join a housing association in the East Midlands.

Location: Northampton
Hours: shift work between the hours of 8 am - 8 pm
Hourly rate: £16-£20ph via umbrella
Contract type: Temporary
Responsibilities of a Support Worker are:
Supporting pathways for people who have dealt with trauma, periods of homelessness, poor mental health and drug/alcohol abuse, domestic abuse and financial difficulties.
Safeguarding cases and taking appropriate action with the line of services suitable
Helping to prepare tenants for their future, identifying opportunities for people to move on successfully into sustainable, independent housing
Successful Support Worker applicants must have:
Experience working with and supporting the vulnerable in a housing back ground
Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues and an ability to influence and negotiate
Be comfortable with challenging conversations, great listening skills and recognise what our customers really want and need
Work effectively without judgement
Good resilience and an understanding of the issues faced by people living in supported housing
We are also interested in receiving applications from Homelessness prevention officers, ASB officers and Ex-Offenders Officers.
