We are looking to recruit a Social Worker in Croydon for the Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker include:
1. A comprehensive knowledge of the main aspects of the Children Act 1989 and Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 that are relevant to the young people whom the service works with.
2. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and young people Leaving Care; the ability to work effectively with them and involve them in decision making.
3. Knowledge of the process for accessing care and support (for those who may meet the criteria) under the Care Act 2014.
4. In-depth knowledge of safeguarding children's duties under the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding adult duties under the Care Act 2014.
5. Knowledge of confidentiality and information sharing.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Social Work England registration
2. Eligibility to work in the UK
3. Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
