With the launch of our first online ecommerce offering by the end of 2022 we hope to be able to reach customers in new ways. Here at Primark we have an exciting opportunity for two Project Managers to join us on an initial 6 month contract working on a fully remote basis. You would still have the opportunity to come into the Reading office to benefit from face-to-face time with the team and other stakeholders is available but not mandatory. Working Days: 5 days per week (Sunday – Friday) Working Hours: A 2 week shift pattern alternating between the following is proposed: • Evenings: 17:00 – 05:00 • Mornings: 05:00 – 17:00 Overnight Technology Implementation Management up to 3 installations running concurrently at any time across multiple territories UK, ROI, France, Italy. • Liaising directly with the Store Development team \ Main Contractors to communicate Technology aspects for the SCO Retrofit Programme e.g. Technology equipment delivery, installation, training and Go Live. • Supporting the Technology Implementation Team technically and procedurally during the works (comprised of third parties) • Assist with resolving installation issues. • Ensuring Primark Technology standards and policies are always adhered to. • Interacting with internal clients on all levels to help resolve and/or escalate Technology related issues in a timely fashion. • Effectively communicate project updates to the SCO Retrofit Programme Manager and Key Business Contacts o Retail Operation Project Team o Retail Store Colleagues (Store Managers, Instore Colleagues) o Store Implementation Team o Third Party Suppliers/Partners (Technology, Construction, Shopfitters, Electricians) o Store Development Project Executives Essential knowledge, education, skills, and experience: • 5 years plus experience in Retail IT Implementations Management • Technical knowledge of retail processes, systems, and infrastructures i.e. Network Hardware and communications, EPoS Systems & Hardware, and electronic Credit/Debit Card authorisation processes. • Experience or a solid understanding of how to manage and develop procedures is essential. • Be customer focused. • The candidate must be an energetic, hands-on individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective communication across the functions. • Excellent project/implementation management skills (experience with large-scale projects) • Excellent communication skills (writing and presentation) • Analytical thinking • Ability to multi-task • Display good judgement and be proactive. • Team player • Enthusiastic self-starter Personal Attributes: • Highly organised, and detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines set by management. • Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescales • Attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview. • Proven ability in managing sensitive matters whilst ensuring all Primark information remains confidential to the business. • Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills, while demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and possess the ability to push back with professionalism. Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation. • Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact, and professionalism. • Effective and persuasive presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business. • Sound judgment, unquestionable ethics, and integrity with a high degree of transparency and trust. The Project Managers best suited for this role will have strong experience with Retail IT Implementations Management. Technical knowledge of retail processes, systems, and infrastructures i.e. Network Hardware and communications, EPoS Systems & Hardware, and electronic Credit/Debit Card authorisation processes.
