If you are looking for an exciting opportunity where you can earn money as well as gaining experience and a recognised qualification, then look no further We currently have an opportunity to join our Fleet Maintenance team as an HGV Mechanic Apprentice. Your role: You will work closely with qualified mechanics to assist with repairs, MOT’s and scheduled maintenance to company owned and private vehicles, ensuring they are safe for use. You will assist with ensuring documentation is completed and accurate and that excellent customer service is provided. As part of the role, you will operate various types of workshop equipment such as hydraulic and lifting equipment, welding and abrasive wheels grinders in accordance with Safe Working Practices (full training will be given). What you will need: You will have a keen interest in learning about vehicle mechanics, good practical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team. Entry onto the apprenticeship requires you to have 4 GCSEs including Maths and English 9-3/A-E or Functional Skills Level 1.
