The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, Abbott Rapid Diagnostics are recruiting a Country Manager UK & Ireland to support the Cardiometabolic business as part of the Southwest Europe region.
What You’ll Do
As a Country Manager UK & Ireland, you will develop & lead the execution of strategy in the Cardiometabolic Rapid Diagnostics business unit.
The role is mainly field-based with a 50% travelling requirement across the region and in European countries. Presence in Abbott’s UK headquarters in Maidenhead for business meetings would be frequent.
More specifically:
* Manage Third Party Distributors and relevant external agencies in the execution of the sales and business development strategy.
* Deliver short- & long-term volume, sales, profit & market share goals by developing and delivering Organisational Excellence within our UK/Ireland Commercial organization.
* Ensure accurate and efficient co-ordination and administration of all business operations.
* Develop a high-performance team with strength-in-depth ensuring succession planning where appropriate for all key positions/skill sets.
* Effectively manage all UK/Ireland’s sales efforts in support of our business goals.
* Identify potential targets for strategic partnerships/alliances.
* Take ownership and manage the country P&L, highlighting risks and opportunities, and balancing product forecast in line with financial reviews.
Required Qualifications/Profile
* Experience in progressively senior commercial roles in medical devices or diagnostics in the U.K.
* Previous experience in frontline sales management.
* Business or Science degree.
* Excellent knowledge of the UK and Ireland healthcare systems and larger ecosystems.
* Established network with KOLs and strong ability to influence at senior stakeholder levels.
* Track record as an effective people manager and leader.
* Deep understanding of organisational development related to market structure and needs.
* Able to travel up to 60% of their time, with occasional travel to other European countries.
