We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing and pro-active Procurement Team here at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust, joining us as a Category Manager within the Capital, Estates and Facilities Procurement Team. You'll have excellent stakeholder management & communication skills to enable you to work effectively with senior managers within the Team as well as colleagues across the Trust & partner organisations.
Holding a Business Degree or CIPS qualification or recent relevant equivalent experience. You must be experienced in leading & managing procurement projects & will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of experience when managing programmes of work.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you'll take a lead procurement role to deliver robust & challenging procurements, supporting the efficient delivery of the highest quality care to the Trust's patients, developed specialist knowledge of procurement, ideally within the public sector however this is not mandated, knowledge must be underpinned by theory & experience. Demonstrable knowledge & experience of NHS or Public Sector procurement would be an advantage, though we welcome applications from outside the NHS & Public Sector to ensure the team continues to develop its collaborative skill set.
The post will be full-time and the successful applicant will be based at Beech House, Lincoln. Hybrid remote working is also an option for the successful applicant. Travel between United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust sites will also be required. The post holder will play a key role in implementing the United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust's vision & strategy for Procurement, delivering the aspiration to become Best in Class

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
