We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to join our System Development team. The team is responsible for the support, administration, analysis, design, development and testing of changes to the system and interfaces of the current insurance platform - Iplus. The team is a core part of IT within the Group Technology department, delivering the company’s IT strategy and business vision for the platform. We need a Product Analyst/Developer to join our team to help deliver our challenging business priorities by supporting and developing the core insurance platform as well as supporting new projects and product transfer. The role will be key in the analysis and development of our existing insurance products. If you have experience of using I90 or Iplus then we can make training available to bring you up to the level required for this role. It's not just all about the technology - it is about the customer and collaborating with our co-workers to deliver something of enduring and sustainable value whilst giving back to good causes. We'd like you to help us to do that. Key responsibilities The job is a mix of business-as-usual and project work, with an ever-changing balance between the two. It involves configuration, customisation, and analysis, requiring a lot of interaction with the different IT and Data teams, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and the wider business stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to learn, receive training and develop existing skills across a range of systems within a complex and dynamic architecture. We have several maintenance and development projects which need to be live over the next few years, and you will play a key role in helping us to achieve this. Knowledge, skills and experience Evidence of experience with product building, pricing structures and layout. Ability to be flexible, willing to take on new skills and be human. Ability to communicate up to a senior level with business representatives, suppliers and customers, and other areas of IT - including presenting on areas of expertise to small groups. Ability to interpret complex business requirements and define appropriate solutions. Displays innovative thinking when establishing solutions to problems, going outside of existing skill sets when necessary. Desirable skills & experience: I or I/90 product development including UFR design. Understanding of insurance processes, terminology and compliance implications.
