RBA Production Supervisor
Location: Coulport, near Helensburgh (Scotland)
Salary: Starting from £35,470
The RBA Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning and directing processing and maintenance activities in designated buildings.

Key Accountabilities:
* Accountable for managing the allocation of work, nuclear safety, explosives safety and radiation protection.
* Ensure delivery of the production elements of the Production Plan.
* Accountable for ensuring those teams within area of control follow all relevant procedures, policies and work instructions.
* Accountable for the application and compliance of Safety, Quality, Compliance, Security, Legislative requirements, internal procedures and processes and Control Procedures, Work Instructions, and Safe Systems of work relevant to the work area.
* Accountable that all post holders within area of responsibility are suitably trained, experienced and qualified.
* Accountable for leading, coaching & developing a team at a local level to deliver team & personal objectives safely & securely to meet our operational plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that a safe, secure, clean and otherwise satisfactory working environment is provided for all staff under the area of control by exercising control over configuration, contents, environment, space allocation, safety and security within the area of responsibility.
* Liaise with other functions to support production and operational activities.
* To raise, control and monitor any necessary defect reports highlighting deficiencies of a Mechanical and Electrical or Building Structure nature within designated building.
* Ensure that the processing of nuclear weapons and associated small ordnance in the facilities is performed to standards that meet defined criteria for quality, reliability, operational safety and safety cases.
* Ensure that planned outputs are delivered.
* Ensure teams and visitors to area are following all work instruction’s procedures, safe systems of work, safety standards.
* Ensure correct accounting of materials and that audits are conducted.
* To control contractors entering the building and to ensure that permit to works are issued in accordance with approved methods.
* To draft and review all relevant Risk / COSHH assessments.
* Performing building officer / manager duties, which include managing, opening & closing buildings to the required security, safety, environment, and fire and radiation safety standards.
* Prepare for, contribute and manage resources for internal and external audits, ensuring relevant evidence, procedures and documentation are available.
* To be an agent for continuous change and business improvements through the implementation of change processes such as Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence and provide resources to support improvement initiatives where required.
* Ensure provision of required reports, management information and delivery of Key Performance Indicators.
* Ensure regular communications and engagement with staff through team briefs, visual board management and meetings.
* Ensure teams and visitors are complying with safety standards and legislation and highlighting non-compliance to Line Manager.
* Ensure that relevant standards, training, competency, qualifications and records are in place and provide resources to support training audits.
* Represent the Alliance at meetings and committees as required.
* Co-ordinate and deliver on the job training to ensure that there are sufficient staff to perform the tasks required to complete the short / long term plans.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work shifts and overtime, so it’s essential that you are flexible on working hours. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
