The role
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in transforming how teams collaborate and communicate?
We're looking for an experienced Migration Manager to lead the integration of two Microsoft 365 (M365) tenants as part of an exciting Digital Workplace initiative. With the rollout of Windows 365 (W365), this position is key to driving the migration of workloads and processes while introducing innovative ways of working to enhance productivity and connectivity.
Your responsibilities:
1. Understand and document the existing working environment, constraints, practical problems and issues facing the engineering user community.
2. Define the detailed migration approach for all M365 services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Office Apps.
3. Work with the project manager to create a detailed migration plan, including all activities to test, pilot and socialise new ways of working.
4. Establish and run a stakeholder forum to provide project governance and oversight.
5. Manage the day to day tasks and activities of the project team, reporting to the Lead Product Manager.
6. Build and run a community of highly engaged engineering users to support the testing of new ways of working.
7. Build positive working relationships with the M365 product managers, platform engineers, architects and service teams to ensure everyone is bought into the migration roadmap and plans for their products and services.
Essential skills:
1. Previous experience running / managing M365 services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
2. A high-level technical understanding of how M365 services are configured at a platform level, including tenant restriction features and cross tenant access.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience of dealing with complex and difficult stakeholder relationships.
4. Senior project management experience in both waterfall and agile environments.
5. Experience of leading a team to deliver migration activities.
6. The ability to absorb large amounts of complex information quickly and use this to adjust plans and approaches where necessary.
7. A keen understanding of the role of communication in building momentum, communities and positive engagement.
Desirable skills:
1. Experience working in UK central government, delivering services to GDS / UK Service Standard guidelines.
Salary
£600 per day - Inside IR35
Where you'll work
Your working time at Opencast will be split between multiple locations, including from our HQ and hub locations, client site or home. Travel across the UK is part of life at Opencast. This varies in frequency, and takes into account requirements of your work, our clients and your team.
