The Role
The Operations team at Javelin manages the reconciliation, confirmation and settlement of commodity products within Javelin. Working with the Logistics team and traders, Operations ensure that risk is captured accurately, and the full lifecycle of the trade is supported effectively.
As the business continues to expand and grow, we are looking for a motivated individual to join the Documentation group within our Operations team. Dynamic and always challenging, this role will complement the responsibilities of the other team members and work as part of the team to achieve the Operation Group’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. T+1 Trade checkouts
2. Drafting and reviewing physical and financial contracts for various commodities
3. Liaising with Trading/Logistics team to resolve queries and discrepancies
4. Maintenance of Confirm reporting database
5. Reconciling OTC and Exchange Traded positions
6. Documenting processes and procedures
7. Project Management
Requirements
1. We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive candidate who ideally comes with some previous experience in a Commodity Operations role.
2. A strong work ethic is required to help drive the team forward and push for technology-based solutions.
3. Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
4. Ability to manage and prioritise workload and judge priority and urgency of requests and issues
5. Excellent attention to detail
