We are seeking to recruit 4 x Career Coaches for a new team based in South Bristol.
As part of the West of England Trailblazer, Bristol City Council has been invited to lead a place based project supporting participants aged 17 - 21 (up to age 25 for those with an EHCP). The Youth Guarantee team will be based in South Bristol, operating from several bases across the locality.
You will manage a case load of participants and provide high quality employment, skills and training information, advice and guidance. You will work with participants to create support/action plans, carrying out skills checks and ensuring the development of skills related to employment, education or training is at the centre of the plan.
You will work with the Youth Guarantee Employer Account Manager and the Development Worker to provide participants with wrap around support at each stage, supporting participants to complete employment, education or training interventions and providing support to overcome barriers.
You will need to be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and an in-depth understanding of the barriers young people experience when they are Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET) or unemployed.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
