Senior Carpentry and Joinery Trainer
Barnsley College is seeking a skilled professional to lead our construction training team. As a Senior Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to students and instructors alike.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry and joinery, with a proven track record of leading teams and developing training curricula. You will work closely with instructors to design and deliver engaging training sessions, ensuring that our students receive the best possible education. Your expertise will also inform the development of new courses and programs, helping us stay at the forefront of construction training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs in carpentry and joinery
- Lead a team of instructors and support staff to achieve excellent teaching standards
- Collaborate with industry experts to develop relevant and up-to-date course materials
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes
Requirements:
- BTEC or HNC in Carpentry and Joinery, or equivalent qualification
- Significant experience in teaching or training, preferably in a further education setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent knowledge of industry developments and trends in carpentry and joinery
Salary:
