Chef Manager, B&I NE27 Newcastle, £40k
This busy site provides a catering service for staff and hospitality as well as a Starbucks coffee bar. All food is freshly prepared and menus based on modern trends and concepts.
As the Chef Manager, you will:
1. Be fully responsible for the running of the catering operation
2. Lead and manage a team of 4 as well as be hands on
3. Produce fresh modern food for both staff dining and hospitality requirements
4. Oversee the Starbucks coffee
5. Be client facing - building and maintaining a good working relationship with the client as well as customers
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3.30/4pm, 40 hours per week
Our ideal candidate would be:
1. An existing Chef Manager or Head Chef looking to step up
2. Experienced within B&I or contract catering
3. Able to lead and manage a team as well as be hands on
4. Strong in communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
5. Client facing with a strong presence
6. Financially aware
7. Attentive to detail and presentation
8. Adaptable, flexible with a positive attitude
