Mobile Maintenance Engineer

The Role
To implement the building services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme and reactive maintenance (RM) in accordance with the building operating manuals and in compliance with the contract service levels. To support other team members and their tasks and that they are programmed and carried out effectively.
Main Responsibilities
1. To liaise with the Facilities Coordinator and Management team to give contractors access to site during normal working hours across 9 sites in the Doncaster region.
2. To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the site service engineers and Contract Delivery Manager, including but not limited to fault finding, testing, repairing and preventative maintenance of equipment, systems, and services.
3. To close/update completed PPM tasks on the CAFM system.
4. Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements, as required.
5. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
6. Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
7. To follow the appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
8. The post holder will support the static and mobile Site Services Officers/Engineers.
9. Ability to fault find and rectify.
10. To support the site service engineers, contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day-to-day engineering & other contract issues.
11. Record engineering performance.
12. An ability to communicate with others effectively; this will include clients and end users.
13. To have a flexible approach to working times to suit the client & business requirements.
14. Respond to emergency situations in both normal & out of hours (OOH) working times, occasionally covering for service engineers due to annual leave or sickness.
15. To support the organising and direction of subcontractor labour as necessary.
16. Conduct asset collections & condition surveys to assist the site service engineers and Contract Delivery Manager.
17. Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice.
18. Other duties as requested by the site service engineers and Contract Delivery Manager to ensure smooth running of the contracts within the region.
19. Ensure Company & Site Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
20. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
21. To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required and requested by management.
22. Attend site emergencies and callouts, outside of normal working hours, occasionally covering for service engineers due to annual leave or sickness.
23. Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high levels, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Current Full UK driving licence.
2. A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices.
3. Understanding of basic joinery, general DIY & basic plumbing.
