Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Basingstoke (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:

The Role:
1. Obtain and evaluate information to guarantee a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services for designated Social Housing, tenanted, planned works refurbishments.
2. Liaise with contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure information, costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of designated project/contracts.
3. Cover contracts across the region, which are typically planned refurbishment works of Tenanted Social Housing properties (including Kitchens, bathrooms, doors and roofing replacements).
4. Manage the monthly CVR Process for your region.
5. Lead and manage the performance of a well-established team of colleagues including a QS/AQS/TQS & Commercial Admin.
6. Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
7. Ensure all invoices submitted accurately and for certified value to ensure payments are received on time.
8. Support your team to value and authorise payments to sub-contractors within the region.
9. Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.
10. Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and/or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
11. Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
12. Support the team with monitoring the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale.
13. Assist in the control of contract budgets.
14. Assist in the development of the procurement programme.
