About the role Community Protection, Business Support Service to Public Health - 2 x Full time 37 hrs and based at Farnham House This role provides professional support to Business Support Senior Officers, Managers and to the wider Public Health team, dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. The successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative duties such as meeting support, creating agendas, note and minute taking, answering telephone calls, and providing information as a first point of contact. You will be expected to manage team commitments avoiding scheduling conflicts and deal with all general matters including correspondence, invoices, and timesheets according to local procedures. As part of the HCC business support service, you'll work closely with the fire service team in Stevenage and North Herts. Key responsibilities include processing payroll, managing uniforms and PPE, handling calls, supporting station budgets, and serving as the first point of contact. You'll also manage team schedules and handle general administrative tasks like correspondence, invoices, and timesheets. Supporting the applications & compliance processes for new & existing adopters and foster carers, updating & collating information into systems, minute taking at tracking and operational meetings and sending of correspondence and information. They provide key statutory business support to managers and social workers. The team is situated within the Child Protection Spoke under Specialist Services. Contact for enquiries Ian.drummeyhertfordshire.gov.uk West SEND Front Door 2 x Full Time 37 hrs, Hemel Hempstead A Business Support Officer working in the SEND Implementation Support and Statutory Assessment Team will monitor "front line" communication points for the service. They will be able to answer initial queries immediately and will direct others to the correct part of the organisation for effective response and resolution. The role is integral in managing and supporting the initial contact with families and professional partners including schools to ensure they feel supported and listened to from first point of contact. Ability to plan own work over short timescales for routine or familiar tasks and processes and use your initiative to work independently. GCSE or Vocational equivalent, strong numeracy, and literacy skills. Enthusiasm and pride in your work are qualities we welcome. Desirable: You will be used to working to tight deadlines and with high accuracy in written correspondence.
