The opportunity
Building and maintaining client relationships to ensure retention of our largest corporate clients is critical to what we do and plays a major part in the success of our business. Do you share our passion? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking an individual to work with our largest corporate clients, maximizing our relationships through high-quality account management that ensures strong client retention. You will act as the primary point of contact for a panel of large corporate customers and intermediaries, enhancing relationships through proactive ownership, query resolution, and technical expertise. Additionally, you will support Account Managers in building relationships and effectively communicating our value proposition to an assigned portfolio.
Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognize that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
What will you be doing?
1. Build and maintain deep relationships with our largest clients, providing regular updates on propositions and scheme performance to key stakeholders.
2. Strong focus on retention to maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Analyse data to inform client decision making and optimise retention.
4. In partnership with the Account Managers, create, develop, and manage relationships with intermediaries to influence them to do business with the organization. Attend client meetings as required.
5. Evaluate business opportunities to optimize profitable sales and retention, to achieve business targets.
6. Work in conjunction with the organization's Distribution team to secure new business and retain existing business, coordinating tenders, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
7. Collaborate with, and actively support, Operations to maximize the positive impact on intermediaries and their customers.
8. Engage with Underwriters, to price and complete quotation requests received directly or through the account panel.
9. Demonstrate a high-level understanding of the Group risk market (both UK and International) and show how the organization's propositions and product solutions can benefit intermediaries and their customers. Improve and update product and market knowledge and apply this knowledge appropriately.
10. Understand and comply with responsibilities associated with the FSA and the Training & Competence scheme, recognizing how these affect the organization, intermediaries, and their customers.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking individuals with excellent relationship and account management skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities. Ideally, you will have experience of an account management or client-facing role in the group risk market, but this isn’t essential. You must be comfortable running and delivering strategic meetings with clients. Experience working with large corporate customers is highly desirable. You will be working with a large base of partners, so strong planning and organizational skills are a must. Strong commercial acumen and negotiating skills are also key to this role.
You will need to be self-motivated, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and manage both external and internal stakeholders while maintaining a high level of service. An excellent understanding of the group risk market in the UK is essential, including a GR1 qualification or the desire to pursue it (funded by Zurich).
