About the Role of Commis Chef
As a Commis Chef, you will help create food to serve a 40 seat restaurant with emphasis on unpretentious creative cuisine made using the finest ingredients.
Commis Chef Duties and Responsibilities:
* Help with smooth running of the kitchen on a day to day basis with the Head/ Sous Chef.
* Inspire the brigade to ensure the kitchen runs effectively at all times.
* Assists with the planning of menus and meals.
* Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen.
* Help preparation before service and during service ensure presentation of food is compliant with restaurant standards and ensure customers are served efficiently and effectively.
* Possess an in depth knowledge of the full menu.
* Help achieve labour and food costs through efficient working structure.
* Comply with health and safety standards in the kitchen and compliance with food labelling and temperature controls.
