Our Southampton real estate team is extremely busy with a wide range of work. You will have the opportunity to work with national prestigious funds, asset managers, property companies, charities, and both public and private investors investing in UK real estate, handling high-value disposals and acquisitions and joining a dynamic and responsive team which deals with the whole lifecycle of asset management and development work arising from such investments. This particular team has a national reputation for the quality of its work and client following.
What will you be doing?
You'll contribute to the growth and success of the business by developing the reputation/brand of the firm, taking a proactive role in building and maintaining client relationships, and leading and supporting on excellent quality investment work. You'll play an important role in helping us to further develop our market share and brand awareness, running transactions in their entirety from the outset and supervising and mentoring others in the team to deliver those transactions for our clients. As a key member of the team you'll be involved in business development activities, influence and implement an aspirational growth strategy for the team and support others to develop in this area.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
You'll be an experienced technically proficient real estate lawyer with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience who's had extensive exposure to quality real estate investment work who can add value through first class technical, commercial advice and delivering business and sector insight to those whose business it is to invest in UK real estate. You'll have rounded knowledge of running investment acquisitions and disposals and client handling skills along with proven experience of routine asset management transactions and dealing with landlord and tenant issues.
You'll also have strong internal and external networking skills and use these effectively to generate and manage work in your own right. You'll also, ideally, have experience of supervising the technical work of others and enjoy devoting dedicated time to share your expertise through coaching and mentoring.
To be successful in this role as a minimum you will have:
* At least 3 years of post-qualified experience as an England & Wales Solicitor.
* Skilled in managing real estate investment acquisitions and disposals, and proven investment transaction experience.
* Experience of working with real estate investors (whether funds, property companies, charities or private clients) and managing landlord & tenant issues.
