Our client is looking for an experienced/time served multi-skilled engineer, someone who has experience as a Welder Fabricator and Machinist. They are a well-established independent company that provides specialist machinery to the agricultural and construction industries!
Welder Fabricator and Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Weld to a BS EN 9606-1, BS EN 9606–2 standard using MIG and TIG.
2. Set and operate lathes and mills.
3. Work from engineering drawings to create components to tight tolerances, completing in-process and final inspection of machined/welded parts.
4. Operate a range of hand, power, and workshop tools including but not limited to: Press Brakes, Saws, Drills, and Grinders.
5. Inspect own work and others to technical documents.
The ideal Welder Fabricator and Machinist will:
1. Be able to read and work from engineering drawings.
2. Be experienced in welding processes and procedures (MIG).
3. Be able to use electrical or manual hand and power tools.
4. Have NVQ Level 3 or be a time-served engineer.
5. Have current or previous professional certification (e.g. BS EN 9606-11, BS EN 9606) (Desirable).
6. Have worked within a Quality Management System (Desirable).
7. Have a Forklift Licence (Desirable).
