Role overview
You will be joining our diverse team of dedicated and passionate quantitative researchers focused on innovation testing, pack & product testing, product optimisation and forecasting throughout the new product development process.
As a Research Manager, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering Innovation research projects to address the client's widely varied business questions.
What will I be doing?
Areas of Responsibility
Client Focus:
1. Leading innovation research projects and managing client accounts.
2. Responsible for set-up, design, execution and delivery of projects (e.g. designing and implementing multiple methodologies, sampling designs, advanced analytics, workshops/debriefs etc.).
3. Overseeing junior staff, ensuring high quality delivery and client servicing is maintained throughout.
4. Using creativity to design innovative proposals, making effective use of Ipsos approaches and philosophy.
5. Actively developing business and working across a wide range of traditional and newer techniques.
Commercial Impact:
1. Demonstrating commercial drive and understanding of the factors which contribute to business success.
2. Working closely with the Directors and Associate Directors in the team, contributing to delivering the strategic plan.
Financial Responsibility:
1. Costing and pricing projects, controlling project budgets and contributing to client pitches.
2. Delivering profitable growth, seeking opportunities to increase efficiencies and improve margins on every project delivered.
Team Leadership and Coaching:
1. Leading the team to confidently deliver stories, narratives and presentations focused on insights from the data.
2. Providing direction, coaching and support to team members, working closely with other RMs, ADs and Directors to manage resources/workloads effectively.
We are looking for a Research Manager who has proven experience of working on quantitative projects. You'll thrive under pressure with excellent attention to detail and the ability to also take a step back and see the bigger picture. You'll have a collaborative approach, working effectively as part of a team.
Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

About the Team
The Innovation Service Line guides clients throughout the innovation journey as they develop and launch new or improved products and services spanning a range of verticals. We help our clients develop the initial idea for a product/service, ensure the fully-articulated description of the product/service resonates with consumers, confirm that prototypes of the product/service properly deliver on consumer expectations, and finetune the full mix prior to launch. This is accomplished using best-in-class services, including idea screening, concept testing, product testing, price and line optimization, package testing and volumetric forecasting.
