Looking for a hard-working, capable full-time bike mechanic to join our Penrith team and join a market leading cycling tour operator.
Responsibilities
* Servicing of bikes and e-bikes to the expected Skedaddle standard
* Assisting with upkeep, cleanliness and organisation of workshop and bike storage areas
* Writing clear, accurate, thorough bike service records
* Assisting with ordering parts, supplies and equipment
* Contributing to longevity of bikes and equipment with best practice around mechanics, having an eye for detail, and planning ahead
* Assisting with the upkeep of other Skedaddle resources including vans, trailers, equipment including trip kits - purchasing, repairs, maintenance, inventory
* Coordinating resources with operations team including use of resource management system
* Assisting with general operations and logistics work and odd jobs as necessary
* Promoting H&S and best practices on site
* Contribute to Skedaddle best practices and projects as necessary
Qualifications & Profile
* Trustworthy and responsible
* Well organised, capable at multi-tasking, requires little supervision but also works well in a team
* Sound communicator and personable
* Experience and/or qualifications in bike mechanics equivalent to Cytech Level 2
* Hands-on person, mechanically minded, who takes initiative and can problem solve
* Good knowledge of bikes and bike maintenance, willingness to continually learn and improve
* Works well and calmly under pressure and ability to cope with the unexpected day to day
* Keen cyclist with an interest in travel
* Full clean UK driving licence
