Deputy Manager - Rosendale, Lydstep - Hourly rate from £13.75 to £15.25 per hour - 38 hours a week - Annual Location Allowance of £1,500
*This role requires you to have a drivers license*
Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our compassionate and energetic team at our Rosendale home. We provide specialist care and education services for children and adults with complex needs associated with autism. We take a person-centred approach to everything we do, focusing on personal strengths, interests, and aspirations to empower children to enjoy a fulfilling life.
As a Deputy Manager at Rosendale, you will play a crucial role in supporting daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a team including teachers, therapists, and support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Located in Lydstep, with views of the sea and the rolling Pembrokeshire hills, Rosendale offers a calm, supportive living environment for up to six adults from the age of 18. Adults living at Rosendale also have access to facilities at Orbis' Bangeston Hall in Pembroke Dock, including allotments, gardens, a polytunnel, and art and music rooms.
Care at Rosendale is individually tailored, supporting adults to play an active role in their community through meaningful activities and programmes.
A day in the life of a Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care involves:
* Supporting the Home Manager to achieve compliance with the regulatory framework and organisational objectives.
* Deputising in the manager's absence and being a creative leader that supports the home to be a specialist service.
* Participating in the Companies 'Out of hours' service.
* Supporting the staff team with the transition of residents in and out of the home.
* Helping to coordinate the home's recruitment process and leading interviews for new staff.
* Acting as a mentor to new staff and coordinating their induction.
* Supporting supervision of all staff and reporting on compliance.
To be a successful Deputy Manager with Orbis Education and Care, you'll need:
* A QCF Level 4 in Health & Social Care.
* At least 2 years working within care.
* At least 1 year experience in a team leader/senior role.
* A good understanding of the Positive Behaviour Support framework and the active support model.
* Experience of direct support with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
* Experience of leading a team supporting people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
* Ability to work independently, meet targets, and supervise staff.
* Awareness of new developments and best practices in the sector.
Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
