Legal Secretary – Family

£26,000 - £29,000 (depending on level of experience)

A law firm in Sevenoaks are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Secretary to join their Family team. The successful candidate will be supporting the family department, providing admin support to fee earners.
Responsibilities
* Document production – Assist with the production of legal documents relating to Family law matters such as divorce, child custody, adoption, domestic violence, pre-nuptials etc.
* Maintain accurate and organised legal files, both in electronic and paper formats.
* Liaise with clients, external parties, and colleagues to coordinate meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
* Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation and document drafting.
* Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries in a professional and efficient manner, redirecting as necessary and ensuring timely responses.
* Provide general administrative support to the family department, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
About you
* Previous experience working as a legal secretary within a Family department.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
