Red Recruitment is looking for an Assistant Claims Handler to join our clients Insurance Division.
Our client deals with thousands of notifications and their claims handlers provide pro-active, responsive, and cost-effective claims services, driven by a desire to provide outstanding client service; therefore, you should be passionate about delivering great service.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading team, working on a variety of different cases with excellent long-term progression opportunities. While the majority of the team is based in Taunton, this role can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities for an Assistant Claims Handler:
* Assisting in the Claims Handling of professional and financial lines
* Managing a satisfactory workload of own files
* Preparing technical referrals, including coverage and reserving recommendations for review by Senior Staff
* Instructing and controlling external service suppliers, including external legal counsel, panel firms and adjusters, and monitoring expenditure
* Ensuring full compliance with all procedures and policies, service standards
* Relationship building, developing the client's market recognition and promoting the Claims Team
* Actively participating in and contributing to system and process improvement initiatives and innovations across the Claims operation as required
Key Skills and Experience of an Assistant Claims Handler:
* Good customer service and experience liaising with clients are required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to solve problems and make decisions with limited direction
* You should be a self-starter who identifies and proposes solutions to problems
* You should have the ability to innovate and anticipate problems
* Having the ability to identify Claims issues requiring escalation at an early stage is advantageous
* The ability to develop excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
* Organisational and prioritising own workload.
