The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Engineer to join our Civils team in our Central London Office to work on the design of some of the most exciting civil engineering design projects in the UK and worldwide.
As part of our established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare detailed engineering calculations, and assist with specifications, scheme designs, and project reports. You will work on master planning and infrastructure design that will see you carrying out hydraulic, external works & highways design including flood risk assessments, SuDS strategies, road horizontal and vertical alignment, and earthworks analysis amongst other activities.
You will work across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Retail, and Residential, and will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and as you are supported towards Chartership.
The Skills
Educated to degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng), and having gained experience in a Civil Engineering role within a consultancy environment, you are already well versed in relevant civil design software such as AutoCAD, Civil CAD 3D, and Infodrainage, with QGIS being beneficial. You have 2 years of relevant experience in civil design engineering for the built environment, including hydraulics and geotechnics, and crucially, have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client-focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
