If so, we’d love to hear from you In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of your shift, from operational standards and health & safety to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact with Kinnerton Health and Safety and Environment Ensure the Shift Team complies with required statutory and mandatory H&S and Environmental requirements. Promote a ‘safety first culture within the Shift Team and proactively manage H&S issues. Ensure all machinery and equipment is safe to operate and all team members are trained and competent to fulfil their job role. Ensure H&S refresher training is conducted at appropriate intervals and personnel records are maintained. Food Safety and Quality Ensure the Shift Team is trained and proficient in food safety, SOPs and QAS specifications and complies with all rules and procedures concerning the production of safe food produced to specification. Ensure SOPs are up to date, relevant and refresher training is conducted at appropriate intervals and personnel records are maintained. Performance Operate the factory in accordance with the Production Plan to agreed KPIs. Manage the shift through Short Interval Control to measure hourly performance of lines. Take corrective actions to correct any performance variances to target and preventative action to remedy root cause and ensure no reoccurrences. Ensure all performance data is reported. Plant Standards Ensure good GMP is always maintained and the Shift Team operates ‘clean as you go’. Develop and maintain 5S systems and standards for efficient operation. Continuous Improvement Support the Plant Manager in constructing and executing plans for improving the Shift Team and plant performance. People and Team Development Develop training plans for all Shift Team members. Ensure there are the requisite skills to perform job roles to the required standard and there are adequately trained deputies for holiday and absence cover. Address personnel performance issues through effective use of the performance management process. Manage holidays and absence so that there are sufficient skills within the shift team to deliver the production plan, within site guidelines. At Kinnerton we will help you develop and gain new skills/training, but for this role we're ideally looking for Essential: Maths and English GCSE’s or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Experience in managing teams within a manufacturing environment Good knowledge of manufacturing machinery Excellent Communicator Problem solving skills Teamwork skills Drive for results Good organising and planning skills Strong people management skill Coaching/ training skills Desirable: A-Levels or other higher qualifications in relevant fields (foundation degree/ Honours degree etc) Exposure to lean techniques HACCP trained Food Safety trained Pension (4% Employer Contributions) Life Assurance Scheme at x4 basic salary.
