Learn more at www.ipsadhesives.com About the Role Based in Durham, NC, our IPS Adhesives Product Manager charts the course for the profitable growth of IPSA products in the short and long term within the US. Key within this work is engaging directly with current and potential customers and industries to develop market knowledge. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Product, the product manager navigates the internal organization to effectively develop, propose, and advance growth and change initiatives. This role owns product-level strategy as well as the product lifecycle and product roadmap, engaging closely with our technical team to advance the value we deliver to customers. Partnering closely with the rest of the commercial team, the Product Manager contributes to marketing communication initiatives and the broader commercial plan to drive growth. The product manager’s scope also includes all products and brands sold in the US as well as occasional support for global products and projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct market research, market intelligence, Voice of Customer, and competitive studies Analyze internal and external data to derive insights and align stakeholders Record key product line metrics and develop and execute action plans for improvement Define the product strategy and roadmap Prepare, propose, and progress growth-oriented business cases (such as new products, product redesign, regional expansion, penetration programs, etc.) Lead 80/20 and product lifecycle analyses. Recommend and actively project manage portfolio changes (such as new product introduction, phase out, discontinuation, etc.) Partner with the technical team to maintain and evolve product specifications and the portfolio Work closely with marketing communications to position products, providing content and engaging to increase leads and awareness Establish and adjust product pricing strategies and execution systems in collaboration with sales and customer support Train the sales on products, markets and applications, competition, positioning, etc. Push product positioning and revenue growth while ensuring customer satisfaction goals are met. Contribute heavily to the strategic growth plan of the operating company Lead and promote the IPS culture of continuous improvement Support product data accuracy Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree 2 years experience as a product specialist, applications specialist, project manager, or product manager 5 years of experience with manufactured products, ideally chemical or mechanical products Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong data analysis skills Excellent teamwork skills Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, in a matrixed and global organization Ability to travel up to 30% of the time Our Offer We're a rapidly growing midsized company with a customer-centric mentality operating fast and lean.
