Job Description
Fluid Dynamics Engineer / Biomedical Design Engineer
Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a rapidly growing MedTech Design House based in Glasgow. This innovative company specialises in the design and development of a wide array of medical devices, partnering with providers to develop revolutionary solutions.
We are looking for a highly skilled Fluid Dynamics Engineer or Biomedical Design Engineer to fill a unique role within the organisation. This position requires a versatile problem-solver who thrives on working from first principles, tackling diverse challenges, and contributing to the design and development of innovative solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of fluid dynamics, complemented by a hands-on approach to prototyping and problem-solving. A background in electronics, programming, and mechanical systems will be highly advantageous, along with an ability to bridge the gap between scientific and engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate on the design, development, and prototyping of systems and components involving fluid dynamics.
* Analyse and solve complex engineering problems using first principles and a mix of scientific and engineering expertise.
* Develop and test electronic prototypes, including working with communication protocols such as SPI and I2C.
* Contribute to mechanical and structural design challenges, including calculations for stress, fatigue, and thermal systems.
* Ensure robust, high-quality designs through iterative testing and evaluation.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Proven experience in fluid dynamics, electronics, and/or biomedical design.
* A strong academic foundation in mathematics, thermofluids, or mechanical engineering.
* Programming skills with an emphasis on problem-solving and adaptability.
* Confidence with tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
* A self-taught mindset with a passion for tackling challenges beyond formal education.
* Experience with medical devices or regulated industries (desirable but not essential).
This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a unique role within a dynamic and innovative MedTech environment, contributing to groundbreaking projects while building on your engineering expertise.
