Company – Construction/Engineering Specialist Job Title – Head of Sales/Sales Director Location – Essex (Hybrid) Salary - £90k plus benefits We have a new exciting opportunity for a Head of Sales to lead, manage, develop and recruit the organisation’s Sales Team, and client relationships both current and potential. Define and implement strategies for improving business opportunities in accordance with the company’s goals. General Duties/Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the direct line management and leadership of the Sales team, ensuring pricing accuracy, margin improvement at sale and handover process development/embedment to both the Major Works and Service & Repair team Actively develop a new client base for the purposes of tendering major projects and prestigious projects in the UK. Manage the activities and personnel matters within the team, including conducting one-to-one and performance meetings, to improve performance delivery according to set KPIs and targets Develop, implement and lead a cohesive marketing strategy, with other team members to grow the Group reputation and market knowledge of our services. Be the lead point of contact for all key account client matters and lead the team on development of opportunities with current client base, increasing share of wallet and finding new clients that add value to our portfolio from a margin perspective As a member of Senior Management Team (SMT), you will attend monthly meetings, and report on progress, status, support and investment requirements to deliver all the above. Working with CEO and COO, you will formulate and evaluate annual sales targets in line with the Group’s expectations. Develop and implement sales campaigns, defining market needs, potential returns, margins and process to deliver Produce, monitor and evaluate targets for sales team members Ensure all activities and works are fully compliant with all legislative, industry, solicitation and anti- collusion policies. Support integration of a Compliance and Development Culture Ownership and development of the tender process, including all consolidation, preparation, pricing, RFI submission and improvement to the submitted document format/detail inclusion – Service & Repair, and Major Works Analysis of current portfolio, for identification of loss-making contracts, density gaps, margin improvement hotspots and action planning Engage and support interactions of Major Works and Service teams on internal handovers, providing clients with seamless business transition, whilst ensuring minimal impact to business profitability through new equipment reliability assurance Lead on, and develop business relationships with new client base, offering opportunities for sustainable, balanced growth Define and deliver a client on-boarding process, with ownership of critical path mapping/implementation for both external and internal parties. Ensure clear and defined communications, with full understanding of all responsibilities and actions before pre-contract commencement. Ensure all client portals are functional and relevant parties trained to meet requirements of operational and financial terms. Review current contracts offering improvement to deliver greater business protection. Confirm all proposed changes with Legal Counsel and MD prior to implementation - define client communication content for update on T&C’s Assist in defining CRM system requirements for improvement of sales process, tracking and reporting to align with OS developments within organisation business streams - pipeline creation and closure management KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Proven background of sales success within the lift industry Able to demonstrate excellent people-management experience Experience of designing, developing and delivering complex technical solutions Experience in presenting on both technical and non-technical levels Experience of developing new business leads SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent communication skills, to allow good internal and external communications to enable the correct information to be sought to enable the role to be fulfilled Ability to assimilate information quickly making informed decisions from facts presented Ability to articulate the commercial benefits of any proposed solution Understanding of management information systems Adherence to health and safety legislation Negotiation skills Understanding of efficiency/density impacts sales and margin Strong organisational skills, with good personal insight, tact and ability to foster teamwork and collaboration across different teams to deliver the desired outcomes
