Accounts Assistant - Temporary - Full Time - Ware - £15.00 per hour We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable) to work at Hertford Regional College to support the Finance Manager with Accounts Payable process management in Ware. About The Role Based in modern offices within the college campus at Ware, The Accounts Assistant is part of a team of six, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. We are seeking an individual to take a collaborative approach with departments to provide support for all aspects of accounts payable requirements at Hertford Regional College (HRC) and its subsidiary companies. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Financial Controller and other senior finance staff to establish and enhance processes - processing invoices, payment runs and chasing GRNI’s. Full support to learn and grow will be given by Managers and the wider team. There is also potential for this temporary assignment to become a permanent position in the future. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5pm with 1 hour lunchbreak (unpaid). About You You will possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs with a grade of 4/C or above, or an equivalent qualification, including Math and English (an AAT Qualification would give you a distinct advantage). You should also have a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and a minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in a financial environment as an Accounts Assistant. You will have a strong and practiced knowledge of Accounts Payable including month-end procedures and meeting deadlines. You will be is highly motivated, adaptable to learning new skills, a proven team player, possesses excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
