A co-educational private day and boarding school located in Hampshire, catering for 800 pupils and teachers from nursery to 18 years. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, supper, morning snack & afternoon snack. This is a term-time only contract working 38 weeks a year and for the nursery, operation is 52 weeks. This is a 7-day operation, so working pattern will be 5 days out of 7. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.
We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Hook.
You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level, and you will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
Key responsibilities:
* Work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers.
* Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company's brand standards.
* Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
* Follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures.
You will have the following skills:
* A genuine interest in food & excellent customer service.

* An organised Chef with attention to detail.
* Understanding of the basics of food cost and wastage.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
* Similar experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
