About the Role
Accountabilities:
* Oversee a portfolio of clients - reporting into the Client Experience Manager
* Support the Client Experience Manager with delivery of the annual cycle of such clients, escalating necessary issues and giving insight into the relationship and position of work.
* Ultimate responsibility for service delivery and quality within your portfolio for next cycle delivery
* Take a project management approach to managing your portfolio of work – ensuring adherence to agreed timelines
* Take a proactive approach to managing your allocated resources to best address your client needs and the operational demands of the cycle, raising resource concerns in a timely manner
* Deliver quality strategy calls, adding value to the client experience through acting as a trusted adviser
* Manage client expectations in line with project agreements and service levels
* Empower your team to follow project agreements and service levels, reducing scope creep of projects
* Delegate client leadership within your team as you see fit and where to do so benefits both the development of the individual and the operational delivery to clients
* Proactively audit the quality of submissions of your team on a risk-based approach, assessing the submissions within a cycle in advance and planning where to spend your time according to complexity and the level of experience of the individual
* Provide regular feedback to your team members on the quality and delivery of their work, ensuring adherence to our style guide
* Keep up to date with insight on legal directories guidance and legal practice areas
* Manage your team effectively, identifying areas of development and under-performance and seeking support to address any issues in a timely manner, escalating concerns and opportunities as appropriate
* Communicate regularly with each member of your team both individually and as a group
* Manage the absence and holiday administration of your team via Safe HR, ensuring you lead your team in planning holiday in a sensible manner according to the cycles of work
* Be open and transparent in terms of the experience of your clients during their cycle and look for ways to improve that delivery
* Support training and recruitment as required
* Support the wider business as required with new initiatives and marketing communications
* Utilise all required Kidd Aitken systems and applications to their fullest to support data accuracy and resource management
* Provide support and guidance to other colleagues and provide assistance as required to both less experienced colleagues and those new to the business
* Treat all client communications with the utmost confidentiality
* Maintain all relevant files and administration and ensure there is no cross-contamination between client communications
* Communicate clearly with the rest of your team and an administration contact if you are not able to work or commence your role on time due to illness, connection issues or any other unforeseen circumstances
* Manage your online presence both internally and externally with regards to status and out of office messages
* Manage your personal online presence in line with our social media policy
The Candidate
* Experience in a Managing Consultant/Senior Consultant Role (or similar)
* Experience in leadership/people management role (ideally in a remote context)
* Experience of working in Legal Marketing Legal Directories
* Experience in providing a strategic and critical eye to the presentation of information
* Exceptional attention to detail in proofing and reviewing written copy
* Leadership qualities – able to provide clear direction and coach effectively
* High level of IT literacy - including expert spreadsheet, data management and extensive use of Office 365
* Excellent influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to be adaptable/flexible and to multi-task effectively
* Proficient in trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
* Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload
* Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks to tight deadlines
