Being a Depot People Support Assistant means supportingthe delivery of accurate payroll and people processes, as well as using a variety of systems and processes to input, produce and maintain accurate information. They liaisewith line managers providing information and responding to queries in a professional and efficient manner which is compliant with data governance guidance.
What you need to do
Deliver accurate colleague pay through attention to detail with payroll administration.This includes spotting and highlighting errors through daily/weekly checks, by working collaboratively with the relevant teams.
Collation of weekly data and accurate logging of costings. Additionally, creation and communication of Purchase Orders.
Supports and guideline Managers to consistently complete all people processes in a timely manner.
Identifies potential areas of efficiency improvement using local data.
Understands the HR Model, signposting Line Managers to the correct support team or system.
Supports the Site Management to deliver consistent, engaging communication, using a variety of methods appropriate to the audience
Support the site team in ordering of supplies
Responsible for the stock maintenance and issue of colleague PPE stock on site where required.
Will be confident using all systems and able to produce meaningful reports and accurate data as required to enable managers to make informed decisions.
Highlights where there are data gaps or areas of non-compliance and raises to the appropriate authority level in order to support great data integrity.
Operates in a courteous and helpful manner at all times, actively role modelling and growing our culture of inclusion enabling all colleagues to bring their whole selves to work.
What you need to know
* How to use a range of systems, including Microsoft Office, Oracle, OurSainsburys (Internal intranet/webpages), Internal HR Database, (MyHR ) etc.
* How to translate data into meaningful reports formats and summaries.
* Good customer service skills (internal and external customers), including face-to-face, systemic and telephone engagement.
* How to prioritise workload
* How to positively embrace new ways of working
* Have good financial & numeracy skills enabling you to apply a practical application to financial reasoning.(Demonstrate good mathematical ability to support Payroll queries)
