What does this Technical Design Engineering opportunity offer you?
Get ready to launch your Engineering career with our customised 15-month training programme! You'll rotate through exciting placements that are designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. Experience hands-on work across our Nuclear new build sites.

Training, development, and support for you:

You’ll contribute to different projects throughout the programme and here are some examples of work our recent Technical Design graduates have completed:
* Site Engineering review and management of Design, Temporary works and Construction handover
* Integration and compliance of contractors for testing and commissioning
* Supporting Site and Design engineering leads in delivery of scope from consultants, contractors and operators
* Planning and programming works in a safe and economic manner
* Attending and driving the quality assurance process
* Answering queries through the design lifecycle
* Support to Permits, Consents, Compliance and ESG
* Site inspections and associated change requests
* Technical evaluations of solutions
Our Science and Engineering Programme also includes protected training time for courses covering nuclear fundamentals, EPR (European Pressurised Reactor) systems, communications, and health & safety.
Your work location:
Throughout the programme, you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of our sites, immersing yourself in the diversity of our business.
The main locations you could be based at are:
* Gloucester Business Park, Gloucester
* Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater
* Sizewell C, Suffolk
* Any one of our Operating Stations
Please note this programme is rotational in its nature, so you will be required to move around. But don’t worry - we’ve got you covered with practical and financial support every step of the way.
Who you are:
To join our team you’ll need a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Engineering, Science or a related subject.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in nuclear energy, the power generation industry and technology with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, whilst being keen to solve technical problems.
Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
