Rate: Circa £35,000 per annum + Benefits

With a rich history dating back to the mid-'60s, my client provides the distribution, installation and ongoing technical support for all Security, Video and Audio technology needs within the commercial and industrial market.
They are currently looking for a skilled Support Engineer to support their IP Intercoms and Access Control team.
The Role - Technical Support Engineer
1. Handle and take ownership of technical queries for IP intercom and Door Access hardware and software platforms
2. Provide support and advice to internal and external sales, marketing and engineering teams
3. Respond to incoming support requests
4. Assist in pre-sales technical quotations in collaboration with the sales team
5. Maintain and acquire technical knowledge for our full range of IP intercom and Door Access products
6. Evaluate new products and provide feedback to suppliers where required
7. Keep up to date with security and industry technology trends and standards
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Technical Support Engineer
1. 2 Years Minimum, in a customer-facing support role
2. Qualified apprentice, Diploma or above, or equivalent QBE (I.T hardware, security or technology-based subject)
3. Essential Knowledge of IP Security Systems (Intercom, Door Access or CCTV)
4. Basic Knowledge of IP Networking (IP, DNS, Gateways etc.)
5. Basic Knowledge of SIP / VoIP Communications is ideal but not essential
6. Problem-Solving
7. IT Literate
8. Great Communication and customer service
9. Ability to work on own initiative
10. Time management, prioritising work and working to deadlines
11. A full driving licence is desirable
The Package - Technical Support Engineer
1. Starting salary up to £35000 per annum
2. Monday to Friday 8:30 am-5 pm
3. 23 Days Holiday (+ 8 Bank hols)
4. Free Parking
5. Accessible via public transport
6. Monthly bonus depending on department sales performance
