Our HR&TD team play a vital role in partnering with the operations to deliver a professional and expert HR service About the role Working within a large HR team for the Warehouse and Distribution Division of Next, we are looking to recruit a talented HR Specialist to join us and deliver the HR plan in a fast-paced, unionised environment. As an HR Specialist, will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, consistent and professional level of advice in Employee Relations, focusing on complex ER situations Providing practical support, advice and feedback to managers in all aspects of complex disciplinaries, grievances, long term sickness/absence situations and consultations/organisational change projects, we’re looking for someone to be an onsite presence, providing expertise to ensure a consistent HR approach across all of Next Distribution. You will also be the first point of contact for telephone and email advice from managers on HR queries on your site/business area and will quickly build strong working relationships with your key stakeholders and Union reps About you You will need to be an experienced HR Advisor/Specialist, with generalist HR/ER experience ideally in a high volume, fast-paced, manufacturing or distribution environment with strong working knowledge of current employment legislation. Demonstrating a clear, calm methodology when working under pressure and in potentially confrontational situations, you will be able to investigate issues objectively by asking probing questions and evaluating information, ensuring that correct policies and procedures are followed. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of building strong working relationships with all of your stakeholders; managers, employees and union reps, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated and explained as appropriate to the audience. The successful candidate will ideally be CIPD qualified and educated to degree level or equivalent. Flexibility is key; we operate a 24/7 operation and some unsociable hours working will be required on accasion to meet the needs of the business
