SEMH Teaching Assistants Needed
TeacherActive is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis in SEMH/SEND schools based in Telford. We are seeking individuals with experience working with challenging students who are interested in a career change towards a school environment.
The school requires additional staff due to increased student referrals, necessitating support for 1:1 and general classroom assistance.
Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils outside the classroom with pastoral and personal development.
2. Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, allowing other TAs to focus on their roles.
3. Patrol the school, working with pupils outside of class for various reasons.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience working with teenagers.
* Strong behaviour management skills.
* Team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach.
* Experience within an SEMH school or setting.
