Job Title: Housing Solutions Officer
Contract: 12 months fixed term until May 26
Location: Blueschool House, Hereford
Hours: 37 hours
Salary: HC07 £31,067 - £35,235

The role
We are seeking two well-motivated experienced professionals to provide comprehensive housing advice to prevent homelessness where possible. Offering early intervention and signposting to support agencies where necessary to ensure housing-related support is available to assist in sustaining tenancies.
To conduct homelessness interviews where homelessness cannot be prevented within the legislative framework (Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, Code of Guidance, and relevant Council policy) whilst safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable people.
To provide a comprehensive housing advice service in relation to all housing options including home ownership, private rented, and a range of affordable housing options (both rental and ownership options) to maximise housing stock across the county.
Work in partnership with Home Point and housing providers across the county to ensure that allocation of accommodation is undertaken within the relevant legislative framework.
About You
* You should be a good communicator who is able to work across the public, private sector, and faith sector.
* Be passionate about and have a track record of making a difference to vulnerable people.
* Demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to working.
* Be able to grasp a complex working environment and develop cohesive solutions to make services better for people.
* Have an extensive knowledge of Housing legislation.
