Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis team based at University Hospital Llandough. The postholder will work across the service in their role and an interest in exercise testing and prescription in respiratory health would be desirable.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Physiotherapist will:
* Have relevant demonstrable skills and previous senior clinical and leadership experience
* Ensure holistic high-quality assessments and care needs are met
* Manage their own specialist clinical caseload
* Provide expert clinical support and advice to patients and carers
* Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to identify areas for service development and improvement
* Advocate and support patients’ rights by promoting shared decision making
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills when delivering information sensitively
* Work autonomously using advanced clinical judgement and knowledge within a multi-disciplinary team
* Advise and educate individuals and their families/carers on the management of individual problems
Person specification
Qualifications
* Recognised qualification degree/equivalent in physiotherapy
* HCPC registration
* Specialist training/courses to Postgraduate Diploma level or relevant experience
* Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Experience
* Significant post registration clinical experience in a physiotherapy position within the specialist area
* Active involvement in service development and quality initiatives
* Experience of providing clinical supervision
* Experience of teaching other disciplines
Skills
* Highly developed specialist physical skills relevant to the clinical area
* Personal responsibility for learning and development
* Confident with digital technology platforms/apps
* Ability to manage a clinical caseload
* Excellent communication skills with healthcare professionals and the public
* Ability to keep accurate and legible patient records
* Evidence of involvement in audit and research
* Proven ability to motivate others
Special Knowledge
* Specialist physiotherapy knowledge in the clinical area
